According to consumers, both baby formula and pet food are currently in low supply at the grocery store, leading some businesses to react.
It's been months since the baby formula supply was depleted. A massive recall for powdered Similac, Alimentum, and EleCare formulae has been issued since the beginning of the year, and supply has not been able to keep up with demand.
Around 30% of popular brands at 11,000 retailers were sold out in mid-April, and roughly 40% to 50% are already sold out.
The FDA is "working around the clock to handle any possible shortages," according to White House Press Secretary Jenn Psaki, as businesses like Walmart, Target, Kroger, CVS, and Walgreens put purchasing limits.
Pet owners, on the other hand, are in a similar scenario. Since the outbreak began over two years ago, food products have been plagued by aluminium can shortages, and some things are still suffering.

The grocery chain claims the discontinuations are due to "inconsistent availability and ongoing sourcing challenges," and that after the remaining inventory is sold out, the six goods will not be replaced.
